About the event
How does one unite a Californian 1970's bass player, a gypsy jazz guitarist, an ingrained reggae drummer, a Parisian trumpet player and a perfectionist saxophonist?
In the case of paris based Soul and R&B band The Shadow Cats, it took a small (1,62m) miracle. This unlikely group was formed by young (born 1990) swedish song writer, composer and songstress Ellen Birath in 2013.
Some 150 shows and 2 albums Later the band has developed a characteristic groove based on the individual influences of each of its members, as well as their common love for dance-friendly music.
Together they serve up a high-energy show of original songs, packed with heartfelt soul melodies, lots of humour and a good dose of 1960's nostalgia.
